Will Tiger Woods grace the Augusta National course in April? It's a question that has golf enthusiasts on the edge of their seats. Despite his recent health challenges, Woods remains optimistic about his chances.
In a recent interview, the golfing legend was asked if the Masters was out of the question. His response was an emphatic "No." Woods, now 50, is determined to make a comeback after undergoing lumbar disc replacement surgery last fall.
"I'm giving it my all, that's for sure," he said. "The disc replacement has been a real test. I've had a fused back and now this, so it's a tough road. And turning 50 has made me think about my options. I'm considering the Champions Tour and the chance to play in a cart. That's something I wouldn't do on the regular tour, but it's an option I'm open to on the Champions Tour."
Woods has been away from the game since missing the cut at The Open Championship in 2024. His last PGA event was the 2024 Genesis, where he withdrew in the second round due to the flu. His last tour win was a memorable one - the 2019-2020 Zozo Championship in Chiba, Japan. And his most recent major victory was an iconic moment for golf fans, as he claimed his fifth Green Jacket at the 2019 Masters.
The 2026 Masters is just around the corner, teeing off on April 9th. Will we see Tiger Woods make a triumphant return? Only time will tell. But one thing's for sure - the golfing world is eagerly awaiting his decision.
