Attention all commuters! Starting January 16th, get ready for some major roadwork on I-84. The eastbound lanes between Garrity (Exit 38) and Ten Mile (Exit 42) will be closed for four days, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night. But here's the catch: during this time, you'll need to use the new ramps to exit and re-enter the highway. The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) is working hard to install 16 massive girders, each weighing around 42,000 pounds and measuring 117 feet long, for the first of two new flyover ramps. This project will ensure smoother traffic flow and safer driving conditions in the long run. But for now, plan your routes carefully and be prepared for some detours! Keep an eye out for the detour map, and remember, westbound lanes will be reduced to two lanes each night, so expect some delays. Stay tuned for updates, and let's hope for a smooth ride ahead!
